CAMP LOCATION
The Nordpark in Erfurt is located directly on the beautiful River Gera. There are several trees in the park that provide natural shade. The Nordpark also offers a number of leisure activities, including an outdoor pool, playground, Skatepark, basketball court and places for a slackline. Here you can find out how to get to the camp:
TRAVELLING BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT
If you are travelling by train to Erfurt main station, continue from there to the “Klinikum” stop. You can take tram 3 (direction Europaplatz) or tram 6 (direction Rieth). The “Klinikum” stop is barrier-free. From there it is about 500 metres on a slightly sloping footpath to the camp entrance. The path is partly tarred or paved. There are 3 roads to cross on the path, the kerbs are each approx. 3 cm high. There are no ground-based guidelines for visually impaired people on the path.
TRAVELLING BY BIKE
If you are travelling by bike from the west or east, follow the D4 cycle path and then the Thüringer Städtekette cycle path.
If you are travelling by bike from the north or south, we recommend taking the D9 or D11 cycle path and then continuing along the Thuringian Chain of Towns cycle path to Erfurt.
TRAVELLING BY CAR
If you are travelling by car, you can use “Marie-Elise-Kayser Straße” as the destination for your route planner. Find out about parking facilities in advance and pay attention to information from the camp. Important information for all those travelling with a vehicle in which they want to spend the night: There will unfortunately be no space for campers, motorhomes or similar in the camp area this year. Please find your own parking space in the vicinity of the camp.
SHUTTLE
If you are unable to travel to the System Change Camp by public transport, there is the option of using a shuttle from Erfurt main station. This can be useful for people who are hindered by barriers on their way, as well as for BIPoCs, queer people and (possibly publicly known) speakers who are worried about attacks by Erfurt Nazis. The shuttle is therefore not a service for all camp participants, but is intended for people who are particularly at risk or otherwise unable to get to the camp. However, only you can decide whether you need and want to use a shuttle.
Depending on what you need, you can choose between two types of car:
Car (from camp participants)
If you would like to be picked up by a car, call us at 015510141528 and we will send out the next available shuttle. So that we can plan better, you can also let us know in advance at shuttle@system-change-camp.org when and with how many people you will be arriving.
Car with ramp (external transport service)
If you would like to be picked up by a car with a ramp, you can organise a transport service via an external provider. We will be happy to reimburse you for the costs (around €70 per journey). Just send us an email with proof of payment to: shuttle@system-change-camp.org. It is important that you book your journey with the respective provider at least one week in advance:
